Bertie promises a white lion cub that he will see him again, but when Bertie does grow up war broke out and he has to become a soldier and fight against the Germans. Will Bertie die in war or will he some how manege to see his white lion again? Lesson from the book: I think the lesson from this book is that you can be brave like Bertie when he saved two of his men from the Germans. My feelings about the book: I feel that this is a very good book because it just has so many exiting parts, after an exiting part happens i'm all ways shore another exiting part is on its way.
